For as long as I can remember I’ve created some kind of art; it is as necessary to me as the air I breath, food or drink.
I work in many different mediums (including glass, wire mesh, fabrics,) but for the last 6 years I have returned to my first love, painting. This website is dedicated mainly to my paintings.
I’m inspired by the beauty that I see in the surroundings where I live, the changing light and shadows that influence the colours and mood of the scene.
I try to capture the wonder that such a scene evokes in me; the feeling of pleasure and joy or tranquility it gives me. My wish is to enable the viewer of my work this experience of pleasure; some respite from the everyday; to bring a smile into their lives; perhaps a few moments of healing. This is my motivation for what I create.
